Restaurants turn to Robotics Amid Labor Struggle
Next up, whether you prefer labor or wage shortage, restaurants and ghost kitchens are turning to robotics to speed up service amid the ongoing labor struggle.
Companies like Miso and Richtech Robotics are developing automated bots for both restaurant kitchens and dining rooms.
Right now they've already implemented or are undergoing testing with companies like White Castle, CaliBurger, and Buffalo Wild Wings.
This is in addition to ongoing trials with the last mile delivery robots, Nuro with companies like Dominoes and Chipotle.
And while these bots cost up to $20,000, -economists claim that labor challenges are expected for years to come.

U.S. Army pauses AR Headset Acquisition
Lastly, the U.S. army announced a pause on the acquisition of advanced augmented reality headsets for its troop.
The Microsoft Contract, worth close to $22 billion, is expected to make tens of thousands of these systems in the coming years.
According to the Assistant secretary of the Army, they're "doing a reset of the program, figuring out what is the appropriate timeline and where the technology is today."
